Good Results from Bad Lippspringe

In 2012, the company established a state of the art production headquarters in Bad Lippspringe, Germany. Equipped with differentiated technology and manufacturing processes, Schübeler has maintained strict quality control through vertical integration of all critical components used in its products.

Company founder Daniel Schübeler explains, “Product development is a relentless quest for improvement. By producing applications for high end aeromodelling, we also gained valuable experience that positioned us to solve special propulsion problems for commercial applications.”

In 2015, this spirit lead to custom, in house design and manufacturing of proprietary DC motors. This capability further established Schübeler Technologies as a leader in crafting products, services and solutions that meet demanding application needs.

Merged for Growth

Microdrones® Merger

Merged for Growth

Late in 2018, Schübeler Technologies completed a merger with Microdrones, the developer of the world’s first commercial-grade unmanned VTOL aircraft. However this merger was hardly the beginning for these two German manufacturers.

Their history spans almost 15 years when inventor Udo Jürss created a prototype quadcopter drone that gained much notoriety for its viability in a variety of applications, and he, along with algorithmic master Jan Wendel and Schübeler Technologies founder and aerodynamic expert Daniel Schübeler founded Microdrones in 2005.

As a pioneering founder, Daniel Schübeler remains dedicated to the advancement of UAV technology. The merger of the two companies unites the talent, technology, expertise and investment capabilities of both companies to propel UAVs, aeromodelling and airflow tech to new heights, efficiency and speed.

“The merger is very close to my heart, but it also makes practical sense. Now we can combine the knowledge we’ve gained over the past twenty years from both companies”, says Schübeler. “The combination of our teams will lead to astonishing solutions in the years to come.”

“We move things really fast using a reasonable amount of energy.”
